The 19th China-ASEAN Expo has witnessed a new record of deals signed on the event. A total of 267 projects on investment and cooperation have been inked at the expo, with a total value of 413 billion yuan, representing a 37 percent year-on-year growth.
The average size of these projects is 1.5 billion yuan, with 87 projects bagging investment of more than 1 billion yuan, accounting for 72 percent of the total investment, including 5 worthing more than 10 billion yuan.
The expo is being held in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Province and lasts until Monday.
This year marks the first year since China and ASEAN upgraded their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. It is also the first year since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) took effect on January 1 this year.
Meanwhile, RMB settlement volume between China and the ASEAN has surged nearly 20-fold in the past decade to reach 4.8 trillion yuan in 2021, data from the PBOC-backed Financial Society of Guangxi showed Saturday.
China-ASEAN monetary authorities are in close contact in upgrading multi-currency cooperation, said Chen Jinxiang, president of the Nanning branch of the PBOC along the release of the report.
By the end of 2021, China had signed separate bilateral currency settlement agreements with Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia in local currencies, as well as currency swap agreements with countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand worth about 800 billion yuan, said Chen.
The RMB-based Cross-Border Interbank Payment System handled 3.3 trillion yuan of China-ASEAN trade in 2021, a yearly surge of more than 50 percent.
China has been ASEAN's largest trading partner for 13 consecutive years. In the first eight months, the country's imports and exports with the bloc hit 4.09 trillion yuan, an increase of 14 percent compares with the same period last year, accounting for 15 percent of the total foreign trade value, customs data showed.

17日上午，在第14届中国东盟金融合作与发展领袖论坛上，中国人民银行南宁中心支行党委书记、行长，国家外汇管理局广西分局局长陈晋祥发布了《2022年人民币东盟国家使用报告》。《报告》显示，2021年中国东盟跨境人民币结算量4.8万亿元，同比增长16％，十年来增长近20倍。中国东盟货币当局紧密联系，多元货币合作不断升级。截至2021年末，中国分别与越南、印尼、柬埔寨签订了双边本币结算协议；与印尼、马来西亚、新加坡、泰国等签订了货币互换协议，金额约8000亿元。2021年，新增16家东盟金融机构成为人民币跨境支付系统（CIPS）间接参与者，CIPS全年处理中国东盟跨境人民币业务3.3万亿元，同比超50%。人民币对东盟国家货币银行间市场区域交易积极拓展，离岸市场人民币产品丰富升级，多项跨境人民币业务创新成功落地。广西、云南、重庆等因地制宜，与东盟加强金融交流合作，提升市场主体使用人民币的便利度，优化边民互市跨境结算服务。
China released its main economic indicators for August on Friday, recording better-than-expected growth and maintaining momentum from July. Growth in China's value-added industrial output accelerated to 4.2 percent in August from a year earlier, said the National Bureau of Statistics(NBS). Retail sales grew by 5.4 percent year-on-year, significantly up from a 2.7-percent growth in July. Fixed-asset investment increased by 5.8 percent year-on-year in the January-August period, compared with a 5.7 percent rise in the first seven months. The job market continued to improve in August, as urban surveyed unemployment rate standing at 5.3 percent, falling for four consecutive months. The NBS said China's economy will likely rebound and operate within a reasonable range with a series of stimulus packages and follow-up measures taking effect.
8月经济数据回升向好：9月16日，国家统计局发布8月经济数据，多项数据显示国民经济回升向好。8月份，全国规模以上工业增加值同比增长4.2%，比上月加快0.4个百分点；全国服务业生产指数同比增长1.8%，比上月加快1.2个百分点；社会消费品零售总额同比增长5.4%，比上月加快2.7个百分点。1-8月份，全国固定资产投资同比增长5.8%，比1-7月份加快0.1个百分点。受经济回升带动，8月份全国城镇调查失业率为5.3%，比上月下降0.1个百分点。国家统计局新闻发言人、国民经济综合统计司司长付凌晖表示，8月份，主要的生产需求指标都有所改善，说明高效统筹疫情防控和经济社会发展的各项举措是有效的。从全年情况来看，尽管面临一些挑战，随着一系列稳经济政策措施的逐步显效，中国经济迈向高质量发展态势不会改变，全年经济仍然会保持恢复态势。
China's GDP expanded at an average annual growth rate of 6.6 percent from 2013 to 2021, higher than the growth pace of 2.6 percent for the global economy and 3.7 percent for developing economies, according to a report released by the NBS on Sunday.
近十年我国GDP年均增长6.6%：9月18日消息，国家统计局日前发布的党的十八大以来经济社会发展成就系列报告显示，2013年至2021年，我国国内生产总值（GDP）年均增长6.6%，高于同期世界2.6%和发展中经济体3.7%的平均增长水平；对世界经济增长的平均贡献率超过30%，居世界第一。

Guangdong province, which is home to many white goods manufacturers, will offer subsidies of up to 100 million yuan to people who ‘trade in’ their old household appliances to bolster sales, according to the local government’s draft plan that is now soliciting public opinion on Friday. Subsidies will be set at no more than 10 percent of the product’s selling price and the maximum allowance for each item is 500 yuan.
广东拟1亿元补贴家电“以旧换新”：9月16日，2022年广东省公布家电“以旧换新”实施方案的征求意见稿。意见稿指出，广东省今年9月至11月，拟以1亿元来补贴家电“以旧换新”，补贴标准为不超过家电销售价格（发票含税价）的10%，每件家电补贴不超过500元。

China announced plan to release the third batch of pork into the market from central reserves, according to the NDRC on Monday. The top economic planer said that the amount of pork released across the country in September will total 200,000 tons, hitting a monthly record.
9月预计投放猪肉储备20万吨：国家发改委19日表示，近期，为增加中秋、国庆等节日市场供应，国家发改委会同有关部门投放了两批中央猪肉储备，近日还将投放第三批储备，并指导各地加大力度同步投放地方猪肉储备。根据已投放数量和后期投放计划，预计9月份国家和各地合计投放猪肉储备20万吨左右，单月投放数量达到历史最高水平，投放价格低于市场价格。
China's power generation rose to 824.8 billion kilowatt-hours in August, up 9.9 percent year on year and 5.4 percent from the previous month, NBS data showed on Friday. The nation's power generation amounted to 5.6 trillion kilowatt-hours in the first eight months, a year-on-year increase of 2.5 percent, while total power consumption went up 4.4 percent to reach 5.78 trillion kilowatt-hours.
8月全国发电量增长9.9%：根据国家统计局16日发布数据，8月份，我国发电8248亿千瓦时，同比增长9.9%，增速比上月加快5.4个百分点，日均发电266.1亿千瓦时。18月份，发电5.6万亿千瓦时，同比增长2.5%。1-8月，全社会用电量累计57839亿千瓦时，同比增长4.4%。
China imported 480,000 tons of rice in August, an increase of 34.8 percent year-on-year, customs data showed on Sunday. From January to August, total rice imports reached 4.56 million tons, up 42.5 percent year-on-year.
1-8月稻米进口增长超四成：据中国海关18日数据，今年8月我国进口稻谷及大米48万吨，同比增34.8%，年累计稻谷及大米进口456万吨，同比增42.5%。
Chinese property services firm Onewo Space-Tech Service has launched the largest initial public offering of 2022 in Hong Kong, as it aims to raise up to HK$6.15 billion, regulatory filings showed Monday. The company, a division of developer China Vanke Co Ltd, has set a price range of HK$47.1 to HK$52.7 a piece for the sale of 116.74 million shares.

ByteDance Ltd offered to buy back as much as $3 billion of its shares from investors on Friday, giving backers a way to cash out after plans for an initial public offering stalled. The offered price per share of just under $177 gives the company an implied valuation of about $300 billion.

Chery Automobile plans to invest 100 billion yuan in technological innovation over the next five years to boost the Chinese carmaker’s intelligence andnew energy development, according to the company’s chairman on Friday. The automaker will also cultivate over 20,000 R&D staffers over the period, of which more than half will be software talents, and build 19 Yaoguang Laboratories this year and 300 by 2025.
奇瑞拟投千亿研发：9月16日，奇瑞汽车正式发布“瑶光2025”战略。奇瑞汽车董事长尹同跃表示，未来五年，奇瑞计划投资1000亿元专门用于技术创新，培养研发人员超过20000人，其中软件人才比例超过50%。奇瑞目标是今年建成19个瑶光实验室，到2025年建成300个。

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Chinese mainland, in actual use, expanded 16.4 percent year on year to 892.74 billion yuan in the first eight months of the year, the Ministry of Commerce said Monday. The service industry saw FDI inflow jump by 8.7 percent year on year to 662.13 billion yuan, while that of high-tech industries surged by 33.6 percent from a year earlier.
1-8月全国吸收外资8927.4亿：2022年1-8月，全国实际使用外资金额8927.4亿元人民币，按可比口径同比增长16.4%，折合1384.1亿美元，增长20.2%。从行业看，服务业实际使用外资金额6621.3亿元人民币，增长8.7%。高技术产业实际使用外资增长33.6%。
China's stamp tax revenue rose 4.1 percent year-on-year to 318.8 billion yuan in the first eight months of this year, according to the Ministry of Finance on Friday. Stock trading stamp tax revenue went up 3.9 percent from a year ago to 206.9 billion yuan during this period.

The market value of exchange traded funds (ETFs) listed in the Chinese mainland has exceeded 1 trillion yuan for the first time as of Friday, with total net asset of the 674 ETFs traded in the mainland reaching 1.08 trillion yuan, data from financial information provider showed.

8家券商获批做市商资格：16日消息，证监会已批复中信建投证券、华泰证券、银河证券、申万宏源证券、东方证券、财通证券、国信证券、国金证券等8家券商为科创板上市证券做市交易业务资格，并要求上述机构应自批复下发之日起6个月内完成工商变更登记工作。

Chinese stocks closed lower on Monday as the Chinese yuan weakened further. By the close, the benchmark Shanghai Composite dropped 0.35 percent and the Shenzhen Component went down 0.48 percent. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng lost 1.04 percent as the TECH Index fell 2.07 percent.
